MATCH agent

At Roessingh Research and Development I have been working on the MATCH project. In the MATCH project, a digital self-management application for patients with COPD and heart failure was developed to offer care at distance. Elements include action plans for self-treatment of exacerbations, a virtual agent for better communication and personal feedback, sensorised inhalers for improved medication adherence, and a test to determine the cause of breathlessness symptoms. The application could lead to better decision making and an earlier start of proper treatment in the home-setting.

I have been working on the design of the agent and the interface in which the user could interact with the agent. I have implemented the agent interface in HTML and used Javascipt and Ajax to receive and handle dialogues from a server. In addition, I designed a few agent animations in HTML5 and wrote the small talk dialogues.
