Close to Your Beloved With a Bag

For the course Living and Working Tomorrow we had to make a product related to living and working in the future. Together with my project group I made a intelligent bag: the Come-Bag. The Come-Bag is inspired on couple necklaces. You give a necklaces to your beloved one, and you wear the other half of the necklace yourself. In this way you feel always connected with your beloved one.

The Come-Bag shares this feeling. You and your love both have a Come-Bag. A GPS module connected to an Arduino measures the coordinates of your bag, sends these to a server which calculates the distances between the bags and gives this number back to the bags. Based on the distance the pattern on the LED matrix, also coupled to an Arduino, changes. The hearts on the display will come closer together when you and your love come closer together. The hearts will go further away when the distance between you and your love increases. In this way you share your emotions with the public.
